Cala Hotels in Stornoway.

As the leading hotel hotel and restaurant group in the Outer Hebrides, we've experienced more than a quarter century of change here on the Isle of Lewis.

Many people may imagine that we're likely to be stuck in a time warp at the edge of Europe, but nothing could be farther from the truth - we strive to move forward just as our colleagues in the hotel industry on the mainland.

At least one thing stays old-fashioned, though. The  traditional Hebridean hospitality that turns guests into lifelong friends.

We're moving with the times. As just one example, our Caladh Inn broke new ground in 2005, with the opening of a new food concept, the Eleven cafe bar and buffet restaurant.

Open the entire day, until late in the evening, Eleven offers a 'designer' environment, which provides a different 'feel' at different times of day.  Families are entirely comfortable and guests can enjoy treats throughout the day.  At lunch or dinner, in addition to carvery and buffet options,  there are comprehensive a la carte menu choices - some featuring the superb quaity seafood for which we have gained a reputation.

A Sense of History.

While we continually modernise and  improve throughout the hotel group, we recognise our commitment to conserve our environmental assets. The Royal Hotel is Stornoway's most historic hotel, much of the original fabric remains and will always be conserved, to illustrate the fascinating stories of the town.
