Restaurants  in Stornoway.

With four restaurants in Stornoway, Cala Group hotels offer a variety of dinnig styles. each is independently managed, but, as we've said before, the common aim is to maintain the traditional Hebridean hospitality that turns guests into lifelong friends.

Eleven - up to the moment style and family friendly, too.

Justifiably claiming to be Stornoway's most popular restaurant, it's stylish, fun, family friendly and great value.

But most important of all, it's a restaurant where you can enjoy excellent  food. We use top quality, fresh ingredients, including huge quantities of fresh fish and shellfish, which arrives in our kitchens within minutes of landing at the nearby harbour.

Choose from the buffet, the a la carte Char Grill menu, or treat yourself to amazing seafood.

A current favourite is our sharing platter - choose from steak, lamb or mixed grill. It's cooked to order and , as the name implies, served on a wooden platter with it's garnishes - add your choice of vegetables from the buffet - amazing value.

While we welcome the entire family to every one of our restaurants, Eleven was designed to offer a little extra for the younger mambers of the family - a play area for young children,  encouraging healthy eating on our specially designed menus and also offering 'child favourite' dishes.

Relaxed, contemporary dining at Solas Restaurant at the Cabarfeidh Hotel - Stornoway's only STB 3-star hotel.

Carefully selected fresh local seafood of the highest quality  features on our menus, alongside  tender, well reared Lewis lamb and venison, plus Scottish beef.

After completely stripping the old restaurant to bare walls, floors and ceilings, Solas was constructed as a brand new restaurant. Service is discreet, but attentive.

The accent is on fresh local produce - classic cuisine with a special, Hebridean flavour.

South facing, the Conservatory is peaceful - a place where you can catch the sun's warmth in winter.  Pleasant all day, it's also a nice environment in which to wake up over a full Scottish breakfast.

Here you'll find great tastes, some traditional and some from further afield.

Situated within yards of the trawlers that unload their catches at Stornoway's quayside, you might say we have an unfair advantage over mainland city restaurants.  In addition to the freshest fish and seafood you could wish for, we source our meat, vegetables and other produce from the closest practical sources that provide the quality we insist on.  So your food tastes better and is as environmentally friendly as it can be.

You can enjoy hand-dived scallops and creel caught langoustines (much kinder than trawled and better tasting),  Loch Leurbost mussels, Lewis lamb from local crofts and responsibly reared Angus beef .

What's common to all our dishes, is that they're arranged in a creative manner that makes looking as interesting as tasting.e.

While HS-1 Cafe Bar, at the Royal Hotel, has youthful ‘attitude,’
it is popular with all ages.  It’s not for nothing that our slogan is - you’re welcome.

A stylish, modern, international menu includes a good range of steaks, pasta, wraps, salads, authentic curries and an amazing double burger.

There are always daily specials to choose from, all at great value prices.

With at least eight vegetarian options on the menu, in addition to specials and fish dishes, there are plenty of alternatives if you're not a meat eater.

This is a great place for a laid-back 'sittin on the dock of the bay' style Sunday Lunch, where you can select from the regular menu, or try the HS-1 special Sunday Roast - a new take on tradition.
