Cabarfeidh Hotel - Chef de Partie

Salary £12.50 - £13.00 per hour

Right now, we are growing our team and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, creative and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team of 7 chefs.

We all need to work of course, but here at the 4-star 48-bedroom Cabarfeidh Hotel, we think that we should also enjoy our work and our working environment. You will join a thriving company, whilst living and enjoying the lifestyle only the Outer Hebrides can offer.

The Cabarfeidh is a multi-outlet hotel boasting several dining areas along with a number of function rooms suitable for 40 to 250 covers. You will find an amazing group of people, making up one big, fantastic and pretty cool team. You will not just meet colleagues – you will make friends.

The Chef de Partie’s primary role will be preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our function rooms and restaurant. Duties associated with this role include helping direct junior staff, working within a professional team, inputting in future menu ideas and enforcing health and hygiene standards in the kitchen.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef to progress his or her career by working in a high quality property as part of a friendly, motivated team. This position is available for immediate start.

This is a full-time position, with 5 out of 7 shifts including working late and weekends. Just come on in and we can have a chat.

Cabarfeidh Hotel - Bar Staff

Salary £12.00 per hour

Do you have experience in busy bars or hotels, know your whiskies, gins and wines and how to magic up smashing cocktails? Perfect. Why don’t you join us as a member of our bar team?!

We serve delicious meals and drinks and make great coffee and as bar staff you will be preparing and serving drinks across our 3 bars and help opening, developing and establishing our much-anticipated new bar. Exciting times ahead!

As Bar Staff you will:

  • Take pride in your work and always have a genuine smile on your face,
  • Be outgoing, communicative and welcoming and enjoy looking after people,
  • Make guests feel welcome and ensure they have an amazing experience,
  • Prepare and make drinks and serve guests in our restaurant, the bars and during functions and events,
  • Set up and clear tables and help ensuring your bar is always ready, stocked up and prepared to welcome the next guests,
  • Take payments,
  • Respond to guest enquiries and requests promptly and effectively,
  • Adhere to COSHH, Health & Safety, cleanliness and hygiene standards and our policies and procedures,
  • Respect your fellow colleagues, collaborate with other departments and be a part of one excellent, hard working and successful team.

We serve delicious meals and drinks and make great coffee and as Food & Beverage Assistant you will be playing a crucial role in helping the team to provide exceptional customer service at all times.

Do you have experience in hotels or restaurants or bars or coffee shops? Perfect - join us. Don’t have alot of experience? Don’t worry – we’ll train you and show you the way. Hospitality is exciting and there’s hardly a better way to give it a go then joining our F&B team.

Cabarfeidh Hotel - Kitchen Porter

Salary£12.00 per hour

Right now, we are growing our team and have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, enthusiastic and energetic Kitchen Porter. This is one of the most important positions within our kitchen and as a Kitchen Porter you will be playing a vital role in helping the team to deliver outstanding catering for all our guests.

As Kitchen Porter you will:

  • Take pride and ownership in maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and passion for a job well done.
  • Washing and putting away pots, pans, crockery and cutlery as needed.
  • Keeping all work surfaces, walls and floors spotlessly clean and sanitised.
  • Support the chefs in completing all cleaning routines to the highest standards.
  • Adhere to all required standards for cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Have the opportunity to learn basic food preparation skills.
  • Have a can-do attitude and work well under pressure.
  • Be a great team player with a sense of humour.
